ya they really need to make a good reason to bring fierce blow because the lower adrenaline cost means nothing since you have to wait for dev hammer anyway
maybe give fierce a "cant be blocked" clause?

Almost makes me miss playing bsurge dom mesmers back when bsurge was 5e super-imba. Fun character to play, though the bsurge monk in RA was more fun.

I get seriously frustrated when I dont have rush on my bar.
2 Knockdowns get's the job done.
Dont actually need death's charge, could swap for bulls strike or mighty blow.

I've never really liked hammer bars that don't have at least 3 knockdowns. It always makes me feel like I'm better off running something else in that situation. Basically, I would run Bull's instead of Death's Charge. I get what you are trying to do with it, but I think you're killing some of your pressure by not running Bull's. The damage you would get from Mighty Blow isn't really going to help you on that bar since you should blow up anything you drill anyway. I like Bull's -> Crushing in between being charged.

This is a build i developed for Random Arena, its fun and it takes me to more winning streaks than any other.

It gets a lot of 'wtf' and 'noob' reactions, since its a bit exotic, but i want to hear your opinion.

R/Mo

-Signet of Judgement (E)
-Bane Signet
-Charm Animal
-Antidote Signet
-Purge Signet
-Life Bond (or Succor)
-Holy Wrath
-Rez signet

I love Wrath, 66% damage back in their faces, works wonders on warriors. Since I want to help my monk, i put Wrath and Life Bond on him, since he will be taking the hits. The other Wrath goes to another soft target like Mes or Ele, or on myself. If there is no monk I put 3x Wrath on me and two other likely targets. Purge signet comes in action soon after the start, when enemy likes to unload their hexes and conditions on my monk. Then, every 20 seconds i can redo it if the monk is in trouble. Antidote clears me of blind and disease/poison.

As for dealing damage, the 66% from Wraith many times means the 66% of the whole enemy group hitting them back. Then there are two signets with 60 and 50 damage and 20s recharge, the elite also knocks down the target which makes me able to interrupt a bit. I usually wait for the right time, when the target is nearing death and/or running from my allies.
Then there is my wolf who bites for 15-25 and is great now since you can lock him on a target and forget about it, fun too, seeing ppl run around getting chased by wolfie . And there is the bow, i do have 9 in Marksmanship so it is effective as it can be.

Afcourse sometimes enchantments get removed, but it's extremely rare.

Not saying they are bad, just not as succesful.

Hammer War similar to those above, normal Monk and healing E/Mo.
Other stuff like Mes or Necro very rarely.

Your build sucks because it tries to do 3 or 4 things all badly. One thing done well > that.

Not only that, but it tries to do 3 or 4 things, 1-2 of which are pretty useless in general, and uses somewhere close to the worst possible skills and tactics possible to do the others.

Charm animal with no pet skills? Using a 9 mastery bow to deal damage (not only is bow damage pitiful, you could at least go to 12-14)? Using the rest of your bar for some craptasical attempt at a signet/maintained enchant build?

Just take a cripshot or something, then you can still maintain defense by crippling attacking foes/disrupting offensive skills, deal direct damage through degen and indirect damage through support warrior by snaring their targets, have much better condition removal, and also gain a ton of flexibility and survivability.

If you really want to run a Holy Wrath build, use a Sig spamming Mesmer. It's not going to win you any awards, but at the very least, it's more coherent, not to mention productive, than your build.

i can see what you are trying to do but its simply not that good a build
i remember way back (almost 2 years and half a dozen nerfs ago) there was a pretty effective pet smite build using balthazar's aura and ferocious strike

The Me/Mo does what you're trying to do so much better. Btw, "And there is the bow, i do have 9 in Marksmanship so it is effective as it can be." No.... :/

Ok

I will try the Me/Mo but the main point i started this as a ranger is because they dont get attacked nearly so often as the Me does.

You also don't have Mantra of Inscriptions and Fast Casting like the Mes does...

I don't play Assassin/melee types ever, would love some constructive feedback on the following build:

[skill]shard storm[/skill][skill]gust[/skill][skill]iron palm[/skill][skill]entangling asp[/skill]golden fang strike[skill]shock[/skill][skill]conjure lightning[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Obviously trying to generate a knock lock and do some dmg...

The lack of condition/enchant removal are a concern to me, as well as no self heal.
